Over the past months all of us have experienced the effects of the Pandemic. At Alberta Storage Place we are deeply committed to both our client’s and staff’s health and safety and have remained open by following all advice and directives set out by Alberta Health Services. As a local business, during these unprecedented and uncertain times, we want to affirm our support to you, and our community. Your well-being and peace of mind when using our facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic is of utmost importance to us. We also believe that we share in the broader responsibility to do our part to slow and limit the spread of COVID-19.
We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and secure place to store your belongings. To protect our employees, our customers, and our community, appropriate precautions are in effect when on site.
When possible, we encourage you to contact us via phone or email, rather than coming to the office in-person. Due to the size of our office, if we are already serving another customer you may be required to wait outside or in your vehicle. When you come into the office or randomly in the facility, we may require a temporal temperature check with our Infrared thermometer. If we receive a reading of 37.3c or higher you will be requested to leave the premises. We also preform temperature checks of our staff and office tenants and have a protocol aligned with Alberta health services to instruct them on what to do if they should begin feeling ill. Staff are required to wash their hands multiple times a day and after any in-person transaction.
Typically, our self-storage facility sees low traffic with few employees or customers on site at any given time. As our facility is single story and has multiple entrance point being able to maintain physical distance is much easier than facilities with enclosed loading areas, elevators, or stairwells. We ask you please maintain physical distancing of two golf club lengths (2 meters) if you do happen to see someone else in the same hall you are in.
As per the City of Calgary Requirements you must wear a face mask when inside any building. It must cover your nose and mouth.
In our office, as well as at all entrance doors to the heated building, there is hand sanitizer, please use it when entering and leaving the building. If you are ill, have been exposed to someone who is ill, have an outstanding COVID test and are awaiting results, have been out of country and have not isolated for 14 days or are an essential worker who has travelled out of the country and are exempted from the 14 day isolation we must insist you do not access the facility. Unfortunately, people who appear to be healthly can be A-Symptomatic.
All new clients who prefer a contact-free move-in experience can complete our online reservation or call our office. We will then prepare the necessary documentation and have you virtually execute the contract. We can provide touch free access to obtain your access cards or pad lock key via our lockbox system which is disinfected prior to use. All payments are via Credit card or Auto withdrawal so you never have to come into the office.
We have a portable UV-C handheld Sterilizer to disinfect high touch points surfaces in the office bathrooms and the heated storage building throughout the day. We continue to deep clean and disinfect all units before our clients move in.
Should the need arise, and we must close our office we can operate remotely as part of our business pandemic plan. We can support all your ongoing storage needs in this way. We are able to respond to any questions or concerns 7 days a week via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 403-503-0738 Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm or after hours and weekends for emergency purposes.
As part of our ability to contact trace we would like to remind you to please always use your access card to scan in and out of the facility, this way we always know who has accessed the site. We will continue to monitor all new developments and promise to keep you informed of any changes to our services. As a locally owned business, we ask everyone to do their part so we can flatten the curve and get back to a new normal as soon as possible. We recognize the many impacts of the pandemic to people’s lives and businesses and are committed to working with you throughout this challenging period. Stay safe and healthy!
